Frequently asked questions
When should I book my session?
As soon as possible! Due to the unexpected nature of birth, I'm essentially on-call for your session! Because of this, I only take a limited number of sessions every month. Most clients book their session in the second trimester. But please don't be discouraged if you are further a long. I try to leave a little wiggle room in my schedule!
do you bring props to the session?
I want your images to be real and natural so because of this, I don't normally utilize props. I try to use the items you already have on hand (special baby blankets or quilts) but I do bring along few wraps and blankets to use if needed.
does my package include digital images?
Yep! All of my packages are all-inclusive. This means that your session fee AND digital images are included. There are absolutely no additional costs unless you choose to purchase additional prints/products. You will receive every final digital image from your session (all of the good ones). You will also receive a personal print release. This allows you to print anywhere you choose.
when is the best time for newborn pictures?
I typically schedule lifestyle newborn sessions around 2 weeks of age however because I believe in baby led posing, there is no pressure to get them done by a certain date. Hospital/Birth Space sessions are scheduled between 12-48 hours of birth (right before you leave the hospital).
how do I book a session?
I try and make it as easy as possible for you. Fill out my contact form below and I will get back to you right away. I will then send a standard photography contract and a link to make your $100 session deposit. You will then be formally "booked". We won't know the exact date of your session (that's up to baby) but we will tentatively put you on my calendar!
do you offer studio sessions?
Because I know that it doesn't always work to have an in-home session, I do occasionally offer studio sessions too. Please connect with me for more information.
do you help with album design or wall displays?
Yes, absolutely! I think it's really important to have tangible items that you can hang on your walls and hold in your hands! But I know that you don't always have time (especially with a new baby) to put it together yourself. Let me know what you are looking for and I'm happy to let you know how I can help.
