At Home - Lifestyle Newborn Session

Lifestyle newborn photography is my absolute favorite.  It's that wonderfuly exhausting time of life when the new baby has been born and a new family (or a newly expanded family) is learning all about their new life. 

Lifestyle newborn photography differs from traditional newborn photography in that it focuses on real life rather than perfect posing.  Babies are posed naturally without props and without backdrops.  The natural environment is used to enhance the images and often times baby is photographed while in Mom and Dad's arms.  The interaction between Mom, Dad, Siblings and Baby is a fundamental focus of the session. 

 

 

Why at-home lifestyle photography?

 

You’ve had a baby.  You’ve been through 9-10 months of exhaustion, nausea, 5 trips to the bathroom every night and discomfort like nothing else.  You’ve grown and birthed a human being and now you are waking up every 2 hours to care for him! You’ve been through a lot and you are exhausted! 

YOU DO NOT NEED MORE WORK!

I don’t want you to have to get all dressed up. I don’t want you to have to pack up all of that baby gear.  I completely understand that you are just getting the hang of nursing and the thought of having to disrupt that new schedule is scary. 

That’s what makes in-home lifestyle photography so perfect.  Your session take place right there in the comfort of your home.  Not only are your images more natural and meaningful, your session is also relaxing and serene.  Your only job is to cuddle and love on that new baby of yours.  And when you need a break, I’ll help swaddle, shush and rock her to sleep.

Portrait Art

 

Approximately 2 weeks after your session, we will meet again to view your images and place your portrait order.  You'll get to see a stunning slideshow of all of your images and I will help you choose your favorite portraits and portrait art products.  The ultimate goal of your lifestyle session is to create beautiful images for custom wall art pieces and heirloom baby albums. 

I want you to have pieces that will last many years to come - something that you and your family will treasure as your little one grows.
