Seattle Family Printed Portraits

How many of you have had your family portraits taken in the last couple of years?  I bet if I asked a crowd of 100 this question, there would be quite a few hands in the air.

Now, how many of you have actually printed your portraits and put them on your wall or in frames for your desk?

If you are like the vast majority of people that I have actually talked to in person you probably did not keep you hand up in the air after this question.

I know you all want digital images – and I get it.  I would too!  But I also know that hanging your portraits on the wall will give you so much more joy (and joy on a daily basis) than any image stored on your hard drive.

So go out there and print those portraits!  And if that seems overwhelming – reach out!  I’m happy to help.   I not only create your family portraits here in the Seattle area but I also offer mounted prints, wall art (framed, canvas, metal and wood) and albums.

Here are a couple of examples of orders that have been picked up over the last couple of weeks.  These families will be enjoying their custom portaits and wall art for years to come.  😊

A new baby in the family is always something to celebrate but when it’s your first grand baby – that is something REALLY special.  They had not had any family portraits taken in years but the birth of the first grand child needed to be documented!

The session took place in the backyard of their family home in Kirkland and the whole family was there….in-laws and great grandma too.

I loved watching both new grandmas fawn over the new baby.

New Look for Lincoln & Lucy Photography

If you have done any scrolling through my past blog posts or if you have visited my website in the past, you may have noticed that things look a little different than they did before.  That's because my business and my branding got a complete makeover!

As with anything, our interests and likes and dislikes change over time and I just wasn't feeling my old logo, colors and overall branding anymore.  So I reached out to an amazing graphic designer to help me out.  She actually ended up doing the branding for both my business and my husbands business (My husband is local home builder and general contractor - Puckett Homes).

When talking with the designer I emphasized that I like to infuse emotion and depth into all of the images I take.  I like rich, moody and deep colors and textures.  Well the final product hit the nail on the head for me.  I love the plum, navy and rose brown tones and I feel my logo now really fits the product and service I deliver to my clients.

Are you in the market for some new branding for your business?  I highly recommend Megan at Little Dot Creative

Family Photography Session on the Ferry

Here in the greater Seattle area, we never know what kind of weather we will get in the Fall.  Sometimes the weather is perfect –  warm and slightly cloudy or maybe even cool and sunny.  Well the forecast for this session called for a lot of rain.

Because this family wanted their portraits taken at the beach, I suggested using the ferry as a possible back-up location.  That way – if it did indeed rain like the forecast suggested, we would have a warm and covered option.  But, if we got lucky the Mukilteo Beach and Lighthouse would be right there.

Well, we did end up getting pretty lucky.  There were a few sprinkles but nothing that got in our way.  And we still incorporated the ferry into the session – making it a fun little adventure for all of us!

I love the Mukilteo beach for family photography because it has such great variety - you get the beach and sand, there is the lighthouse, there is a dock that overlooks the water and you get the amazing ferry as a great backdrop!

Christmas Pajama Session Inspiration

This is my 7th Christmas as a Mother and every year I have made it my mission to find the cutest pair of Christmas pajamas I could find for my little one (little ones now)!

And since I'm offering special Christmas pajama sessions this year, I wanted to help you all out.  I've created a Pinterest board of my favorite pairs of jammies this year.  No reason for us all to spend hours online searching, right?!

You can check it out here:

(P.S. my favorite store was Gymboree this year....they have a great selection.  Although I ended up buying my boys jammies from Old Navy...pictured below)
