3 months old is one of my favorite stages.  They aren't quite moving or even rolling yet but their personalities have already started to emerge. The love to smile, coo and explore everything with their eyes.  It's also such a great time for milestone pictures because it's such a short stage in their development.  It's that time where they are still in between being a newborn and being a baby.  Soon they will completely change!

This session was extra special because big brother stopped by for a few portraits of his own!  Although these session focus mainly on the baby I also love to include siblings in the pictures (and Momma's too of course)!

I believe in natural babies - I love them to "pose" themselves.  I want you to be able to look back at your newborn portraits and be able to instantly go back in time.  Remember how his little face looked when he slept or remember how he used to tuck his hand up under his chin.  I also really want you to have images with your baby.  I know it may be hard to consider getting your portrait taken so soon after giving birth but you will cherish these images some day.  He won't always be this small - he won't always fit in your arms just like that.....

This family loved the idea of taking home both digital negatives as well as one of my keepsake portrait boxes.  It's such a beautiful piece and they will be able to both display their portraits now as well as have a heirloom box to store the portraits in later.

I love a simple and natural style for baby pictures and portraits.  I think there is nothing cuter than a baby being themselves!  Of course - I do love the baby bonnet look too so I often throw one of those in!  

This little one was so sweet and full of smiles and different expressions.  She was a joy to photograph!

I first met this Momma during her maternity session a few months ago.  She was a beautiful pregnant woman who was so excited to be pregnant with her first baby girl.  It was so great to see her back in the studio a couple of weeks after her little one was born.  

This session took place in the studio in downtown Everett but I focused on creating lifestyle, natural newborn portraits.

Have you had a chance to check out the Chic Boatique clothing store yet in downtown Snohomish yet?  They moved in to their newest space a few months ago and I think it's an amazing addition to the Snohomish shopping scene!  It's such a cute store and Jenn (the owner) is super friendly, helpful and down to earth.  

A few weeks ago I spent some time with Jenn.  Her store was being featured in an upcoming magazine spread so she needed some images of her store as well as updated headshots!  

I LOVE all of the cute items she stocks in her store!  Wondering why "Boatique" is spelled the way that it is?  Jenn's first retail space was inside of a boat - hence the name!
